'Glitch' Show - Branding Project

For one of the final projects for my Brighton University course in Digital Media Design, I was asked to work as part of a team to design and brand my end of year graduate show. This project is a collection of design and video elements I produced as part of the branding package. Some elements were chosen and used in the final branding. This section is mainly a collection of concept and theme ideas.

Logo

The Logo was the first thing designed for the branding package.

I wanted to work more in line styles, a logo that would work for multiple purposes like on letterheads and also as part of a poster. The logo designs below were made with Adobe Illustrator.

Animated Logo

The animated ident followed the same design style as the logo so it seamlessly animated on with a consistent style of using lines. I took a lot of inspiration from sci-fi films such as the matrix and also wanted to draw inspiration from more grungy computer effects from older sci-fi films without breaching into VHS/tape style of effects.

Poster

I wanted to draw up a lot of concepts for the promotional poster.

I experimented a lot in portrait photography and applying the different styles of glitch effects. These poster ideas were designed at different points throughout the project as the team behind the show agreed on different design elements for the final branding package.
